# Signer experience

> What a recipient sees on the unique signing link.

Signers open a unique email link on `/sign/[token]`. They do **not** need a Signyd account.

## Steps

1. Open the email and select the signing link.
2. If **Require Signyd Verify** is on, complete identity verification first. See [Signyd Verify](https://docs.signyd.com/verify/identity.md).
3. Review the document and the electronic signature notice (in the **document language**).
4. Fill required fields and apply the signature or initials.
5. Confirm. Signyd stores your drawn, typed, or uploaded mark and records the event on the audit trail. That mark is a simple electronic signature. When the request completes, Signyd **cryptographically signs and seals** the PDF with its **HSM** (AATL + TSA) — Signyd's keys, not yours.

## Common blocks

| Situation | What happens |
| - | - |
| Identity required | The panel stays hidden until verification passes or the requester approves a review |
| Sequential signing | The signer waits until earlier recipients finish |
| Expired or voided | The link explains that the request is no longer open |

After everyone signs, recipients get a secure **download link** for the signed files. Signyd does not attach the PDFs to the completion email. Optional **After signing** redirect opens if the sender configured it.
