# Accounts

# Create an account and Sign In

## Sign up

1. Open [app.signyd.com/signup](https://app.signyd.com/signup).
2. Enter **Full name**, **Email**, and **Organization**.
3. Select **Send login code**.
4. Enter the **6-digit one-time code** from your inbox.
5. Signyd creates your user and workspace, then sends you to **Choose a plan**.

> If you do not see the email, check spam or promotions. You can request a new code with **Resend code**.

## Team invite

If you received an invite link (`/signup?invite=…`):

* The email address is locked to the invitation.
* You do not create a new organization. You join the existing workspace after the code.
* An invalid or used link shows: **This invite link is invalid or has already been used.**

## Sign in

1. Open `/login`.
2. Enter **Email** → **Send login code**.
3. Enter the 6-digit code → **Verify and continue**.
   Use **Use a different email** to start over. Too many attempts shows a wait message.
   There is no password field. Older “check email and password” errors still exist as fallback copy.

## Guest checkout (buy a plan first)

You can start from a public plan URL (`/buy/[slug]`) or `/checkout` without an account:

1. Enter the email that will become the **workspace admin**.
2. For paid plans, pay with card (USD; taxes may apply). For **Starter**, select **Activate plan** — no payment method is required.
3. Signyd creates the account and emails a confirmation link.
4. Open the email, then continue to the workspace.
   If that email already has an account, Signyd asks you to **sign in** instead of creating a duplicate.

> Members (`role = member`) cannot pay. Only owners and admins can subscribe or add extras.

## Onboarding

If you are signed in but have no organization, `/onboarding` asks you to **Create your workspace**. Confirm the organization name to enter Signyd.

## Choose a plan

New workspaces must activate a plan on `/choose-plan` before sending documents, using envelopes, or storing files.

* Toggle **Monthly** or **Annual** (annual is cheaper per month on paid plans).
* **Starter** is free and activates without a card.
* Trials appear as {count}**-day trial** when the catalog enables them.
* Apply a coupon if you have one.
* Members see plans but cannot checkout.

After a usable subscription (active, trialing, or free Starter), Signyd sends you to **Home**.

## After payment

Logged-in checkout shows **You're all set** and redirects to Home. Guest checkout tells you to confirm email first.
